Future Manufacturing Leaders Internship

Mac Arthur Corporation is a dynamic and growing mid-sized manufacturer of high quality labels and die-cut components serving automotive and industrial customers around the world. Our customers include some of the largest OEMs and Tier 1’s in the automotive industry, electronics and industrial manufacturers. We are seeking an independent and goal-oriented student to join our team in the Future Manufacturing Leaders internship program this summer.

Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Executive Leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing targeted improvements to Mac Arthur Corporation’s business.  Summer projects are designed to provide practical and hands-on experience, and deliver productivity improvements for the company.  Interns will learn commercial and operational improvement tools and techniques and apply those on actual projects and systems.

Example Projects include:

  • Management system metrics, target development and benchmarking
  • Commercial strategy: Market and customer research, competitor analysis
  • Manufacturing standards development and implementation
  • Sales and Marketing process metrics, tools and administration
  • End to end exposure to Manufacturing leadership and execution in a high performing organization

You will pride yourself on achieving results and will enjoy working with a diverse team of highly motivated and successful team members focused on the company’s success.  Ideally, you will have business acumen and experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Key Competencies & Requirements:

  • Completed 2 or more years toward Bachelor or Associates Degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing or related field
  • Work experience in a Manufacturing environment ideal
  • Technologically proficient  in Excel (required), ERP systems, Databases (Microsoft Access)
  • Project execution
  • Strong analytic and problem solving capabilities
  • Ability to work independently
  • Highly organized
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Summer program details:

  • Timing 10-14 weeks
  • Flexibility to structure work week based on candidates schedule and project requirements, minimum 16 hours per week
